Just removed all old plywood and insulation (rat housing project).
Seeing some minor frame rust that will get taken care of, but overall in very good shape.

Nearing the end of 2017 am I am beginning the total remodel / restoration of the 1961 Safari.
It will begin with dismantling of inner skin and separation of shell from trailer frame.
Next step will be to remove old plywood flooring, check repair any weak spots in frame, sandblast and repaint frame, then install new 3/4" marine grade plywood subfloor.

1961 Safari, a new beginning!
It has been almost a decade but I am starting work on a 1961 Airstream Safari.
I recently gutted it , started some sample polishing and getting ready to remove the interior skin to do a complete rewire adding a modern load center for the 12v & 110v circuits.
