1961 Airstream Safari interior skin installation

Interior skin reinstalled after stripping paint as well as fiberglass end caps.

Airstream Interior going back together...

Fiberglass end caps, stripped, sanded and installed.... starting on installing interior aluminum skin after stripping layers of paint.

1961 Airstream Safari polishing

Finishing up first pass polishing exterior aluminum using NUVITE aluminum polish.

Polishing

Starting polishing, all lights and labels have been removed, first a clear coat is removed with a citrus based paint remover, then the first pass will be with a random speed buffer with Nuvite "C" compound.  The second and third pass will be with a Cyclo dual head random motion buffer using a finer Nuvite compound.

insulation

Finishing up Reflectix insulation installation, took 350-400 sq.ft. , spray adhesive holds it securely in place.

Installing shell

Shell going back on newly painted frame with new 3/4" marine grade plywood subfloor.
Also installed new channel to set upper section into.

brake wiring

New electric brake wiring installed.
